Bio

​Jumoke -  30 years’ experience in the construction industry, working on an array of diverse projects, for both public and private sector, ranging from $3.0million to $240 million.

Jumoke received her first degree in Civil/Construction Engineering Technology in 1987 from the University of the District of Columbia and completed her graduate studies in Construction Management at Cal State East Bay. 

She started her career as a site inspector with Fairfax County Government in VA in 1988, and shortly after became an Assistant Project Manager.

She credits her eight years working for the Port Authority of New-York and New Jersey and 3 years with CBRE as the pivotal points in her career.  She was the Project Manager on the Kaiser Redwood City Replacement Hospital Make Ready Project.

Jumoke is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and Associate Design Build Institute of America Professional (Assoc. DBIA) and earned LEED Green Associate certification.

She currently serves on the CMAA NorCal Board of Directors as the Chair for the Owners Committee, and also serves a juror on DBIA National Award Jury Committee.

She championed the formation of the Black History Month Committee at SF Public Works.  The committee produces yearly programs on the history of Black Architects, Engineers and Inventors.

She is a teacher at heart and loves teaching Sunday school.  In her spare time, she writes inspirational stories under the pen name of “The King’s Daughter”

She is an aspiring blogger “The Father’s Jewel” and avidly pursues excellence, not as been the best, but been the best you can be.
